Downtown Decatur
Arranging the appointment was easy. When I arrived it was easy to drop off. The estimate was that mounting my new tires and checking alignment would be done in 1-1.5 hours. However their lift broke on the first elevation of the day, and required getting a technician from the lift company to repair it. (When I say 'lift', I'm talking about the hydraulic lifts that elevate cars so mechanics can work on the underside.) Consequently, when I checked on the car 5 hours later, it was not yet finished. My wife dropped me off anyway, and I waited for a 25 minutes, then checked on my vehicle readiness. It was about done. At that point I asked what had caused the delay, but the desk-front person didn't answer. At that point a manager-type person, Cindy, came out and explained the challenge with their lift breaking. She was straightforward, complete, and apologetic in her explanation. As it turned out, my alignment was good (so didn't need to spend $89 for alignment, Yay). Though perhaps you would think this was not a good experience, I understand when equipment breaks down and requires technicians from elsewhere to fix. Mostly, I appreciate the honesty and adult approach of Cindy in telling me what had happened. So I will happily use them again, and contingent on receiving the same treatment next time, I will be glad to recommend them.
