Hi Olivia, we’re sorry to hear you left feeling this way. We do want to clarify that there’s a difference between pulling a diagnostic trouble code and actually diagnosing the issue. A code reader can tell you what system triggered the check engine light, but it doesn’t necessarily identify the root cause. Our diagnostic process goes further by testing and inspecting the vehicle to determine what is actually causing the issue, rather than replacing parts or making repairs based on a code alone. That level of diagnosis takes time and is what the diagnostic charge covers. We’re also disappointed to hear about your interaction when you dropped off your vehicle. That’s not the experience we want anyone to have, and we’ll be addressing it with our team. We appreciate you sharing your feedback.

Hi Mahbub, we understand why a $20 repair would seem preferable to replacing a $470 tire. However, a tire being technically repairable doesn’t always mean it’s safe to repair. The location and condition of the puncture are important factors. In particular, a puncture in the sidewall cannot be safely plugged because the constant flexing of the sidewall while driving can cause the repair to fail. Our recommendation is based on the tire’s condition and safety, not simply whether a plug can be installed. We’d rather recommend replacement when a tire is unsafe to repair than put a customer back on the road with a repair we can’t stand behind.
