UPDATE I was contacted by the shop (the day after I posted my review below) and asked if I could bring in my Jeep so they could fix the issues. Before leaving it with them for a few days, a mechanic road with me to see and hear the exact problems I detailed below, which he did. They were able to fix the steering wheel shaking while braking. Turns out it was the rotors, not the brake pads as previously stated. They did not charge me the $145 to fix this, so thank you for that. Unfortunately, the metal clanking/buzzing returned after one day after driving it. I’ll probably take it to the another shop or a dealership. Again, great customer service, as well as successful previous oil changes, but the major work just isn’t hitting for me and my Jeep. DISAPPOINTING MECHANIC WORK I took my Jeep to this shop a few weeks ago because it failed its yearly emissions inspection, no other issues. Goodyear installed a new catalytic converter, oxygen sensors, fuel injection, and I also asked for an oil change, tire rotation, and alignment. With a hefty $2700 bill, I asked if they’d throw in the oil change for free, and they said yes. (So one star is for this, and the second star for friendliness. They are super nice, great phone communication.) When I first turned my car on in their parking lot, I immediately new something was wrong with the idle. The entire car was vibrating when in park, or if I was in drive and fully stopped. I drove it home to see if it would stop, but it didn’t. I brought it right back to the shop. They said they did a test drive and everything was fine, but I told them the idle was set incorrectly. An hour and a half later they had fixed the idle issue. Over the next couple days of driving two other new issues became apparent: a clanking/rattling underneath the car, and steering wheel vibration when braking. So I had to take it back to them again. After another few days at the shop, I went back to pick it up. They said they only way to fix the vibrations when braking was to change the brake pads, even though mine look good at 60%. This confused me because it only started shaking after they serviced it. I said no to the brake pad change since that wasn’t the cause of the problem. They also told me they took the catalytic converter and other parts and reconnected them, which would stop the rattling. However the rattling never stopped completely, and has been overall getting worse the past week and a half. My car is becoming increasing unsafe to drive. The vibrations when braking now shake the entire car, not just the steering wheel. And the rattling is worse every day. I’m dreading taking it back because they weren’t able to fix their mistakes the first two times, but after spending $2700, I don’t have extra money to take it to another shop.
