We bought 2 sets of tires from here about a year ago. We paid for the full warranty/insurance to protect us should we have a flat that can’t get repaired. As luck would have it, we got a flat the other day. We didn’t have an appointment but called before coming and we’re told that we could be worked in. That was a relief but we’re we told we’d have to leave the car with them and they couldn’t guarantee a finish time. Apparently the area of a tire that can be repaired has shrunk quite a bit over the years and of course our puncture was in the “side wall” and so a replacement would be needed. Insurance covers this but it ended up costing $85 to do this with full coverage ($30 for insurance on the replacement, $22 to install it, taxes and then disposal fees) there sure a lot of hidden costs in this “insurance” and doesn’t feel great to think you’re covered and then get this sort of bill. I wish I had a clue going into it and wish the staff would have given me an explanation either at the time of sale, or as I was going through my first claim with them. I was expecting to get a call at some point from them throughout the day. I sort of forgot about it and Googled their hours to make sure I’d have time to get the car and have it for the day after at least. They close at 5 and I called at 4:40 to see if they had a status report. I was told that my car was about to be finished and that I needed to get there to pick it up. I wish someone over there were more proactive in assisting with the process. I very much felt like an after though and a burden to them. Thus my 3 star review.
